Thank you for your inquiry. The 94200 Regular tagging gun needle release would need to be rotated completely forward so it sticks out next to the needle. The button at the bottom just below the needle is the release for the Fasteners if you did not want to leave them in the gun or need to remove for another color or size fastener.
