If you are to use the insert prior to mounting to the wall, how do they cover the mounting screws?

Thank you for your inquiry. The vinyl inserts you would install once you've mount the panel. We recommend mounting one panel at a time and in between mount inserting these in the channels as you go to cover the mounting screws.
