Thank you for your inquiry. The 1 1/2" D Black Plastic Stackable Jewelry Trays can be used with the 12 Insert Jewelry Tray Carrying Case; it is correct that if you opt to use the 1 1/2"D trays you would be able to fit 8 trays in place of 12 1"D Trays. We do also offer the Large Jewelry Carrying Case under sku 55197 which will accommodate 17 - 1"D Jewelry Trays. Please let us know if you require any additional assistance.
