My library shelves are a tiny bit wider -- more like 1" and 1/16th. Would these work?

Thank you for your inquiry. we would not recommend trying to fit this item on a thicker shelf. It could pop right back off or actually break the sign holder. Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist you further.
