Is the diameter of the hang rack (36") the same size as the base/legs? Trying to make sure we have enough floor space

Thank you for your inquiry. The 36" diameter will be the measurement of the round portion for the hanging space. However the legs measure approx 39 in from leg to leg. Please let us know if you require additional assistance. Thank you again, have a great day!
