Thank you for your inquiry. You are able to use this shelf with the knife brackets. The shelves are designed to sit on top of the bracket, but do not feature a way to lock on to. We do carry rubber bumper clips to attach to the brackets for more stability if you would like. I have the link for those clips for your review below.
