Thank you for your inquiry. The best way to install this item would be to slightly tilt the bottom out and angle the top part up and into the channel of the slat wall. Then you will want to slowly rest down an the bottom part of the hook should rest against the lower part of the slat wall channel. Please let us know if you require additional assistance.
