Trying to figure out how much these bags hold. Is there only a certain amount of things on hangers that can be used. You keep saying if something takes up 1" of space but a shirt doesn't take up anywhere near an inch of space?

Thank you for your inquiry. This item has a 14" Width front to back and we estimate that with hanger there is an estimated space for 14 garments. However this does not factor in type of fabrics. It is going to depend on hanger thickness and whether the type of clothing your using it for needs a little breathing room or not. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
