Thank you for your inquiry. This unit is made for indoor use only. Optex® Wireless Chime Box Receiver alerts you to activity detected by your Wireless Sensor/Transmitter(s). For increased coverage, add up to two additional Receivers to your system. Receiver is powered by an AC Adapter which is included. Maximum range from Sensor Transmitter to Receiver is 1000 ft.
