I have rock walls and want to mount panels to 2" edge of 2x4 boardss. space between 2x4's is 4'3" Can I mount two 2x5' panels sideways? will mounting brackets work? Will grid be strong enough for clothing?

Thank you for your inquiry. The wire grid wall mounts will accept the wire grid panel either vertically or horizontally. The wire grid panel has not been weight tested, but it's 1/4in thick made of steel with a powder coat on top of it. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
