How much weight can each shelf hold? Does the display case still look good if displayed with the front against a wall? Is it obvious which side is suppose to be the front? Thank you for your inquiry regarding the 48"W x 36"H Infinity Extra Vision Showcase - Ready to Assemble (65283). Unfortunately the shelves of this unit are not weight tested. The case is able to be used either with the back or the front toward the customer. The top is strong enough to have small items on top of it. I would not put anything very heavy on it.
