Thank you for your inquiry. You can use both sides of the 2' x 6' Black Slat Grid Stands for displaying merchandise as long as your weight is evenly distributed on both sides of the panels. The measurement of 3" on center is the measurement from the top of one slat to the bottom of the slat above it, this determines the fixtures that are needed for display on the panels.
