Thank you for your inquiry. If you are referring to the actual Add-On Rails, you would determine the height you would like the racks placed at on the sides of the uprights of your rack and simply clamp them onto the rack using the U shaped brackets and bolts included with the rails. If you are referring to the Tandem Rails which attaches two racks together then you would slip one end of the Tandem Rail onto the teardrop rails of your Double Rail Rack and then proceed with the same process on the other rack you are attaching them to.
