Can these be used outdoors for plants i.e are they ok for rain? Also are the handles strong enough to hang with a real plant in them? Thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry. I do apologize, however the One Peck Baskets were designed for an indoor commercial setting. We would not be able to guarantee they would work for your purposes.
