Can these be used outdoors for plants i.e are they ok for rain? Also are the handles strong enough to hang with a real plant in them? Thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry. I do apologize, however the One Peck Baskets were designed for an indoor commercial setting. We would not be able to guarantee they would work for your purposes. The One Peck Basket is always great to have for displaying merchandise or to use for sale promotions. Our baskets are 11" in diameter and 7" deep in natural unfinished pine. The baskets can be left unfinished, stained or painted with latex paint.
