Thank you for your inquiry. Typically we provide the on center measurement as that is what is used for fixtures to be attached to the slat grid or wire grid panels. The actual rectangle measures 6" wide by 2 1/2" high, without including the double banding for the slats. Please let us know if you require any additional assistance. Have a nice day!
