Thank you for your inquiry. I do apologize, however I am unsure of how many envelopes would fit into the slots. I can tell you that the pockets measure 5 3/8" wide and from bottom of pocket to the bottom of the next pocket is 8 1/2"; the depth of the pockets at the bottom is 2 1/2".
