When you say they are 16 by 6 by 12, does that mean that they are 16 inches wide, across the front when folded? I've not bought bags before & am concerned that I understand. So flat, are they 16 x 6 x 12

Thank you for your inquiry. The front from side to side measures 16"; with the height (not including the handles) being 12" and the depth of the bags (gusset) being 6".
