Does this come with instructions how to install? Also does this do the same thing as the aluminum 8' long inserts?

Thank you for your inquiry. The slatwall inserts slide or snap into place on the slatwall panel. They are flat and designed to hide the wood grooves in the slatwall to provide a more completed finish on your display wall. The metal inserts actually fill the slots and are not flat.
