Thank you for your inquiry. The Heavy Duty Z Truck does require assembly upon arrival. We do include the necessary tools to assemble the rack with the hardware. Estimated time of assembly is dependent upon how experienced the person assembling the item is. Typically these types of racks can take anywhere from 30 minutes up to 1 1/2 hours to assemble.
