I'm trying to find a water resistant material in strips as wide as these inserts are to lace though wire baskets to close the gaps between wires. Can the material be folded in half without breaking? View answer

I have bought the bullnose shelves and 12 inch metal brackets. The shelves do not "lock in" or line up with the brackets whatsoever. I can easily move the shelf about an inch side to side and it's not secure front or back. I'm I doing something wrong? View answer
