I have Elfa rods from The Container Store, which say they are 1 inch in diameter. However, their end caps don't keep clothes from sliding off. On these, what is the piece that goes into the hollow end made out of? Will I be able to make it fit? View answer

I see that someone has answered twice that this is for 4" diameter pipe. That would be HUGE! A clothes hanger will only fit on a pipe with 1" diameter or smaller. Did you mean to say 4" long or 4" circumference? Does this work with plumbing pipe? View answer
